REMOTE GUIDANCE

On the day you start your orthodontic treatment, we’ll give you a Scan Box and help you set up the DentalMonitoring app on your cell phone. Weekly scans help us monitor your oral hygiene & elastic wear, tell us when your appliance is broken, and can even tell us when you’re ready for your next visit! Check your email account for instructions on downloading and logging into the app.

Orthodontic Emergencies

We will reach out to you if your weekly scans show that something is broken without your awareness. We provide wax and numbing gel to help manage poking brackets or wires for the short term. However, please do not try to suffer through significant pain until your next appointment; call us right away and we’ll get you in as soon as possible. For after-hours orthodontic emergencies that cannot wait until the next business day, please CALL 423-531-4533 and listen for the instructions for reaching Dr. Farrar after hours. Please note that our voice mails, texts and e-mails are not monitored outside of business hours.
